 Welcome to another "Just Cards" Thursday

at My Creative Time!

We all need cards right?

 I love sending them to the people I love, just because,
so when they come home they find a little surprise in their mailbox!

So keeping it into the Halloween vibe, I came across
an retired Halloween stamp of My Creative Time,
which had the sentiment "Batty for you" on it.

I was looking for a stamp like that because
I had bought some cute paper with bats on it.
But we can't use it in a project because
then people want to have it and it is no longer available

BUT.......fear not!
Emma has a solution for anything....ofcourse she does

Just combine and tadaaa I recreated it :)

This is what I made, not bat right?

The inside needs some love too right?

OMG I think this is my favorite already in this release!

I just couldn't stop playing with the Add-Ons

Tip: Great for scraps!

ABC dies Mini Bow Dies I used 3d white hearts from my own stash

Tip: the heart on the bow is the same size, so you can use those as well

Tip 2: while cutting the little hearts from scraps save the ones you don't use in a little envelope with your dies

so you have extra's for the next project!

I think it is always a little bit more work
to come up with something cute for a guy, 

but with the help of My Creative Time it isn't that hard.

So my husband loves stroopwafels! You might have heard of them

According to Dutch culinary folklore,
stroopwafels were first made in Gouda 
either during the late 18th century or the early
19th century by bakers repurposing
scraps and crumbs by sweetening them with syrup.

One story ascribes the invention of the stroopwafel
 to the baker Gerard Kamphuisen,
which would date the first stroopwafels from
somewhere between 1810,
the year he opened his bakery, and 1840, t
he year of the oldest known recipe for syrup waffles. 

Stroopwafels were not found outside Gouda until 1870,
by which point the city was home to around 100 syrup-waffle bakers.

After 1870 stroopwafels began to appear in other cities
and in the 20th century,
factory-made stroopwafels were introduced.
By 1960, there were 17 factories in Gouda alone,
of which four are still open.
Today, stroopwafels are sold at markets,
by street vendors and in supermarkets.

Since 2016 United Airlines has been serving stroopwafels
as a breakfast snack on its domestic flights.

So I got a package of 2 stroopwafels and made
a cute bellyband around it

I love it !!!

My Creative Time - Mini Release

 Welcome to the Mini Release of My Creative Time

Today we have 2 new dies!!

Cute Bubble Cover Die Tall Bubble Cover Die

And as soon as I received them the ideas were endless but
I picked the first one that came to mind!

You know me.....ofcourse I saw something....
it reminded me of cheese,
so I thought, why not make a cheesy card :)
and make a mouse to go with it!

As you know, I am Dutch and we have nice customs! 

When we have a party we like to serve cubes of cheese with flag, easy to pick, no use of fingers and it looks happy and cheerful!

So ofcourse I had to use a flag in my cute cheese card to make it a perfect one!

I so love that it is exactly as I pictured it in my mind!

The eye is from one of the cuts of this die,
I like to save them, to use for another project
I cut a thin strip of paper to make is tail.

I love cute cards, so when I saw this DSP (Design Series Paper) 
I really wanted to make a feature so I looked through all the wonderful dies 
and I found the Pumpkin Lollipop holder!

 I used  the back and turned it into this cute pear!
I used my blenderpens to color the pear

Tip! I used my adhesive sheets for this project! Because they are so delicate They become stickers and so much easier to stick on

Birthday Palooza at My Creative Time

      Today it is Birthday Palooza at My Creative Time!

So we create a project with a birthday theme and I deceided to make a card because we are in a heavy lockdown here in The Netherlands 

and so it is important to sent more cards for those at home!

Because I am so in love with Gnomie I had to put him on this card and (ofcourse) I made an adjustment.

Before stamping I stuck some post-it on the heart he is holding so that when I inked it and after removing the post it I could stamp him without the heart.

I then cut out a present and his hands and gave him a birthday present instead of a heart to turn it into a birthday card!
