The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge for Thanksgiving Dinner invites

Hi, we have an amazing Challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot! Create a invitation for Thanksgiving, which is on November 25th this year! Although we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I love the Turkeys which can be used!
And ofcourse Trina from Digi Scrap Kits was so kind again to sponsor this project as well! Thank you Trina, I used this cute Turkey

Here is what I did! I made an explosion box, it is a box, once the lid is removed the box folds open (sort of an explosion, hihi)The box is made out of darkbrown CS and it measures 12 x 12 cm. Then you score every 3 cm, so at 6 - 9 cm, then you turn the cardstock and you score again at 6 - 9 cm. Then you score horizontally in the outside squares, so if you have 9 squares you score horizontally in square 1 and 3 and 7 and 9. Then you fold, first the fold lines you made first and then the horizontally.

Then you make the lid out of CS and it measures 10,2 x 10,2 cm and you score at 1 cm all sides.

Then you have a base.

I then cut out millions (it felt like it LOL) of leaves with my leafpunch in different shades of Autumn. I then cut out the Turkey and mirrored it and glu-ed it together. Then I put him in the middle of the box and started putting leaves all around him, so he would stand in a bunch of leaves.
Then I cut out 4 mapleleaves and run them threw the Cuttlebug with The Leavy Branch folder. Then I made the text on the computer. In the back it says "Gobble Gobble" and I wrote the text like you see. I think it is a gorgious invite!! (it took me 2 hrs to make it)

So new to the Cuttlebug Challenges:
Posting on Tuesdays. Mark your calendars so you don't miss out on the fun. The deadline for all entries in our weekly give-away will be changed to Sunday 9:00 pm pacific time... this is also starting in November.

We hope to see you soon at the Cuttlebug Spot with your invitation!
